Reporting a day you worked more or less

The white card is where you tell the office about a day that didn’t match your schedule. The page describes it as: “Report a day you worked more or less than your schedule. Zoe reviews each one.”

  • What it is — A date picker for the day you’re reporting.
  • How to use it — It opens set to today. Change it if you’re reporting a different day.
  • Watch out — You can’t pick a future day, and you can’t go back more than 90 days. If a day is older than that, ask Zoe to record it for you.
  • What it is — A menu with two choices: Add hours — I worked extra or Deduct hours — I worked less.
  • How to use it — Pick “Add hours” if you stayed longer than scheduled, or “Deduct hours” if you worked a shorter day.
  • Watch out — These are the only two options here — and both are flex (they bank; they don’t touch pay). A whole day off or unpaid leave is recorded by the office, not filed here. If your day off was unpaid, tell Zoe rather than filing a “Deduct hours.”
  • What it is — A menu of common amounts — 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour, up to a few hours — plus Other amount… for anything in between.
  • How to use it — Pick the closest amount, or choose Other amount… and type an exact number (for example “Enter hours, e.g. 1.25”).
  • What it is — A free-text box for a quick reason — for example “covered for Sarah / parent was 40 min late”.
  • How to use it — Optional, but a one-line reason helps Zoe approve it faster. It clears itself after you submit.
  • What it does — Sends the report. The button greys out and shows “Sending…”, then “✓ Sent to Zoe — pending approval”. Your new report appears below with a pending tag, and Zoe gets an email about it.
  • Messages you might see instead:
    • “Pick what happened first.” — choose Add or Deduct before submitting.
    • “Pick how many hours first.” — choose an amount (or type one).
    • “You already filed this for that day — see ‘My recent’ below.” — you already have a report of that same kind for that same day. Look for it in the list below rather than filing a second one.
